Individuals will really enjoy themselves on a trip to Zagreb.

Holiday companies could see a surge in demand for trips to Zagreb, Croatia.

This is because Nadine Hallak, travel expert at Cheapflights.co.uk, noted the location is a perfect destination for museum lovers.

She added "part of its charm" is the fact it has yet to be "overridden by tourists", which means travellers can still enjoy an authentic experience.

"Nightlife here consists of jazz clubs and the romance of candlelit restaurants along its cobblestoned streets," Ms Hallak observed.

The city has only been the capital since 1991 and those lucky enough to visit can experience the Croatian Naive Art Museum, Typhlology Museum, Croatian School Museum and Croatian Sports Museum.

Sava River flea market and the Dolac farmer's market are two other attractions worth checking out, the expert stated.

The Gothic Cathedral is also good to see up close and personal and it has been consecrated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, and Saint Stephen and Saint Ladislaus.
